Upon successful completion of the course, students receive a certificate of completion, a wallet card recognising them as PHTLS providers for 4 years, and 16 hours of CAPCE credit.
We offer this as a hybrid course where students take 8 hours of the course online followed by 8 hours of simulation and skills stations at the training centre.
The online portion of the PHTLS course is included in the price and can be completed at the learner’s convenience. All online materials are produced by the NAEMT and include the post-test (which is also taken online at the learner’s convenience).
The table below lists the 9 online modules included in the hybrid course. All modules and the final exam must be completed prior to the simulation sessions and skills stations at the training centre. Practical sessions are limited to a maximum of 12 participants.
By utilising the PHTLS hybrid format, learners can study at their own pace, requires attendance at the training centre for only one day and keeps the overall cost of the course down. Learners can choose a convenient date from the list on the website to attend the hands-on sessions at the training centre.
